The bad cooking performance of this Uten makes me wonder about its energy efficiency, as it is a 1700 watt unit. With this rating, I would have expected it to be able to maintain a good cooking result. Instruction manual very thin and doesn’t give you any information on all its operation, so difficult to navigate. Feels very trial and error. It’s good to have the glass door to see how the food is cooking rather than opening each time and letting heat out.

Preparing more than 2 lbs (~1 kg) of frozen french fries in one go is perfectly possible here – without any compromises! It’s a great choice provided you’ve got enough space on your countertop and you’re ready to enjoy lots and lots of delicious air fried meals! We only have a small kitchen but decided to see if we could find an Air Fryer that could “potentially” replace our 4 slice toaster and use this space. We could then put the toaster away but not dispose of it (its a good toaster and fairly new).So far, I’m pretty impressed with the results. The capacity is enormous. This offers two benefits. The first is obvious – we can cook a lot in it. The second is that when we don’t cook a lot, there is plenty of space to spread out the items so they don’t touch, allowing for more even cooking. It is much quieter than our old unit as well. That’s a big plus in an open-concept living space where the cooking area is adjacent to the TV watching space.
