Sized just right at 75% – a compact mechanical keyboard layout which also features the top function row – the ID80 mechanical keyboard kit from IDOBAO makes a great fit on any desk or setup. Its got some weight to it which I love and the underglow RGB with the acrylic plate is just the right amount of RGB on a board. A separate arrow cluster is perfect for anyone that doesn’t enjoy using modifiers to use their arrows keys or finds a 60% just too small. The spacing of the F keys and the keys on the right also give this board a much nicer look than “compact” 75% boards which can look too busy and cramped.

ID87 bestype use new technology, electrophoretic white makes the case pure-white and some granular feel. To make more creative product, IDOBAO use the slot tech to make the PCB and the posioning plate, also includes the switch foam!

I built this board along with the acrylic base available from Cable Cult and it sounds phenomenal, I haven’t even bothered to put any foam or sorbethane in as it just sounds perfect. I have in it lubed and filmed NovelKeys Creams and am just over the moon with how it sounds. This really is a beginner friendly hot swap board with big potential, you can find some sound tests above.We are big fans of the ID80 and are starting to see the popularity of this board really take off as for the price it really can’t be beaten. The sound when you pair this board with the acrylic base is just unbelievable at this price point, plus you have that option to show off that down glow RGB if that’s your thing! Dye-sub: Dye-sublimation uses heat to impregnate the keycaps with dye. The dye actually becomes part of the plastic keycaps, ensuring the legend will never fade like pad-printed legends do.

If you have special requirements, please be careful to buy.I started off with a Keychron K4 v2, then now awaiting an EPOMAKER GK96S, and bought and awaiting an Idabao Id80 v2. Today I just reserved a GMMK Pro, but starting to regret that I bought the Id80 v2.. I didn't know about the pro's specs. Can someone please tell me their take on the two?
