My 2-year-old has a very large book collection, but this is one of his favorites/most requested. The illustrations are great and endearing - one of the best I've seen out of all the children's books I've read. A must buy for any child that is obsessed with transportation/vehicles. These construction themed books for toddlers are highly recommended and a must read for any digger fan! We have both Goodnight Digger and Goodnight Tractor. They are favorites at bedtime. Easy to read, rhymes through the whole book. It's Christmas Eve, and time to go to sleep. But while children all over the world snuggle up and close their eyes Santa is getting everything ready for his busiest night of the year. This is the fourth instalment to the brilliant Goodnight... series, and is the perfect book for bedtime!

When I'm not up to my knees in nappies, I write children's books. I also spend a fair amount of time eating chocolate. I try to write funny, read-aloud books that parents will enjoy as much as children - after all, if you have to share the same stories umpteen times, you may as well enjoy them. A construction theme is always popular with toddlers (you can see some fun toddler construction activity ideas here) and it's always great to get some quality picture and board books to match their interests. Michelle Robinson has always wanted to be an author like her hero Roald Dahl, but all they had in common was the same birthday and a love of chocolate. Now at last, Michelle is a real author too. She lives in Frome, Somerset with her husband, son and daughter. Visit her at www.michellerobinson.co.uk.
