The Northampton Balloon Festival returned to its original home at the Racecourse this weekend after a 15-year hiatus. Our Mission: To provide fundraising opportunities for local non-profit organizations while celebrating our community. The first mass ascent of the iconic Bristol International Balloon Fiesta will take place on Thursday 10th August followed by the spectacular Nightglow, the Fiesta has announced.

Crowds were treated to an amazing sight after balloons could finally take off for a long-awaited festival after high winds delayed flying. If there is to be an issue it looks as if it could be caused by wind, as ballooning requires just a light breeze.If the wind is in the right direction, balloons may even fly almost directly overhead on their path over the harbourside or up to Clifton Downs. Friday will begin cloudy and there is a small chance of some showers but it should stay dry, with some sunshine coming through in the afternoon. Temperatures will be a little cooler, reaching 23ºC.
