C22 is also popular for its solvent soak method. Solvent soak method is used to remove tape or adhesive residue from your base you would use this when you've worn a system for a really long time and the breakdown has become gooey . Which particular brand you get depends on your preferences and which hair system base you have, but in general, it’s always good to have the following both on hand. Directions:Spray on adhesives. Reaction time in as little as one minute depending on adhesive buildup. Wipe or brush off residue. Shampoo and rinse.

An adhesive remover should be at your disposal regardless as you will need it to remove your hair system. Remember that while you may not see any residue on your hair system base, it’s still possible that it is present. That is why it is imperative that you take the utmost care and fully clean the base so that your next installment ensures a strong bond without any complications during the process.
The Walker Tape C-22 Solvent Spray Tape Remover is effective and fast-acting on most tapes and adhesives. It is an oil-based tape adhesive remover with a mild citrus fragrance, is gentle on the skin, and easily rinses off with soap and water.For optimal results, it is recommended to leave the dish soap lather on the residue areas for around an hour or two. After that’s done, rinse your hair system off with lukewarm water before applying shampoo and conditioner. The adhesive residue should be dislodged afterwards. Peanut butter C22 is also popular for its solvent soak method. Pour C22 Solvent into a container and place the toupee base side down into the solvent. Make sure that the area with glue or tape is soaked in the solvent and try to keep the hair away from the solvent. Keep it soaked for at least 15 minutes.
